Theatre South is directed by Catharine Rademacher and is part of the Bloomington High School South Fine Arts Department. Catharine has been teaching and directing theatre at BHSS since 1992.

  • FMCCS “Green Theatre: Where is the Hope” $250 grant awarded for implementing environmentally friendly practices when producing plays and musicals. 2019

  • FMCCS Classroom Grant. $250 grant awarded for cross-curricular study of the Holocaust through student multimedia art projects. 2014

  • FMCCS  “From Page to Stage: Bringing Books to Life.” $500 grant awarded to pay for children’s storybooks, props, costumes, and artist fees. 2008

  • FMCCS “Project Kaizen.” $300 grant awarded to pay for kimono materials, field trips, and supplemental texts for Japanese study. 2004

  • FMCCS  “Spotlight on the Arts.” $400 grant awarded to purchase special effects lighting instruments for auditorium. 1999

  • FMCCS “ Venus and Adonis. “$400 grant awarded to finance a partnership between Indiana University’s Early Music Festival musicians and high school theatre students to perform together at The John Waldron Arts Center, a local community theatre. 1997
